Charcoal Dust in a Truck by the James River

The 10ft x 6ft truck instillation by the James River is filled with thirty pounds of charcoal. The pollution and soot from the charcoal is in direct correlation of placement of various hazardous waste near the James River. The cave created by the truck is the canvas for negative handprints as representatives of carbon footprints. Participants in the installation washed their hands in the James River. (2019)
